Diabase
The floor of the Atlas, awake. It opens by dropping out from under you, and then it simply will not stay broken: it pours new stone into every crack you open and unmakes its own wounds while the grit it ground into you keeps working. You are not racing its damage. You are racing its repairs.
The floor itself, awake. It drops out from under you once, hard, and after that it simply refuses to stay broken: it walls the crack, unmakes its own wounds, and lets the Ember it ground into you do the killing. The only boss you beat by out-racing its repairs rather than its damage.

This boss is built to punish the Flame deck. It never stands at the end of Descent I against that deck; from Descent II on, bring something else, or bring an answer.
- 💜 Shatter
- The next hits on this target each deal +3 bonus damage — one stack is spent per hit.
- 🔥 Ember
- Deals that much damage at the end of each turn. Does NOT decay — it burns until the target dies.
