Hushbarrow
A silence with a shape. It empties the room of everything you cast with in one long draught, counts your ribs while your hand sits full and unpayable, then puts its entire weight through the marks it made. In its airless dark every spark of mana you conjure is grounded through your own ribs, the Dust you have gathered settles out of the still air a little more with every turn you spend in it, and the Hone on your blade goes off it in the same dead calm.
The airless one. It takes the breath you cast with in one long draught, counts your ribs while your hand sits full and unpayable, then puts its whole weight through the mark. A deck that scales with cards played per turn falls off a cliff and cannot pay for the block either.

This boss is built to punish the Storm deck. It never stands at the end of Descent I against that deck; from Descent II on, bring something else, or bring an answer.
- ❄️ Chill
- This unit's next attack deals HALF — one stack is spent per attack.
- 💜 Shatter
- The next hits on this target each deal +3 bonus damage — one stack is spent per hit.
- 🏜️ Dust
- A counter that lasts the whole fight. It is never spent — your Dust cards read it and hit harder the more of it you have.
- 🗡️ Hone
- At turn's end, gain that much Edge — but only if you played 2 or fewer cards this turn. A third card forfeits all of it. Some foes dull your blade and cut what you bank, which is why the card says "up to".
